Back of PostcardThis postcard features a landmark called the “window” in Window Rock, Arizona, which is located on the Navajo Indian Reservation. The headquarters of the Navajo Tribe are also nearby. The postcard is addressed to Elsient Clarence and mentions that the sender is on a trip. The sender also mentions that their last stop was at 5 PM and that the ground was covered in white, resembling snow. However, the trip was marred by the tragic death of their son, David, in a motorcycle accident. The sender expresses their heartbreak and mentions that they were in Kansas at the time. Despite the advice of their parents and hostel, the sender decides to continue on their trip and remember their son as they last saw him. The postcard was made by Dexter Press, Inc. in West Nyack, New York.
