This postcard features a model folding stool from ancient Egypt, specifically from the reign of Tutankhamun in the 18th Dynasty. The stool is housed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and is part of the exhibition The Treasures of Tutankhamun which is displayed in various museums across the United States. The participating museums include the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Field Museum of Natural History and the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Seattle Art Museum, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
