Exploring the Big Craters at Craters of the Moon National Monument, Idaho
During a recent visit to Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho, I had the opportunity to witness the impressive Big Craters along the Loop Drive. These craters, the largest of which is about 100 feet deep and 1/8 mile long, are truly a sight to behold.
As I stood at the edge of the crater, I couldn’t help but marvel at the forces of nature that created such a massive and awe-inspiring formation. The rugged terrain and stark beauty of the landscape left me in awe of the power of volcanic activity.
The Northwest Curio & Post Card Co. captured the essence of the Big Craters in their postcard, featuring a stunning color image by Mike Roberts of Berkeley, California. The vibrant colors and intricate details of the crater truly bring it to life, allowing viewers to experience its grandeur from afar.
If you ever find yourself in Idaho, I highly recommend taking the time to visit Craters of the Moon National Monument and witness the Big Craters for yourself. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
