Back of PostcardExploring the Principality of Liechtenstein

During a recent trip to the beautiful Principality of Liechtenstein, I had the opportunity to visit the stunning Schloß Vaduz, located at 560 meters above sea level with the majestic Falknis mountain towering at 2566 meters in the background. The picturesque town of Vaduz, with its own unique charm, was a delight to explore.

One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the traditional Alpabfahrt, where herds of cows adorned in national dress paraded through the streets. The Cowfestival, organized by Ludmila v. Falz-Fein, was a sight to behold and truly captured the essence of Liechtenstein’s rich cultural heritage.

I had the pleasure of staying in a quaint guesthouse in the charming town of Junsbruck, where I enjoyed a delicious dinner and marveled at the breathtaking views of the castle perched above the town. Liechtenstein’s natural beauty and warm hospitality left a lasting impression on me.

As I continue my journey through this enchanting principality, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to experience its unique culture and history. From the historic Castle Vaduz to the vibrant traditions of the Cowfestival, Liechtenstein has truly captured my heart.

Stay tuned for more updates from my travels in Liechtenstein!
