Dearest mother Van,We are currently in Fort Worth, Texas, on our way to see Jue Valentin in Key West, Florida. The journey has been quite eventful so far, with stops in various cities along the way. Tomorrow, we will be in Houston before continuing our travels. The United States has so much to offer in terms of diverse landscapes and cultures, and we are grateful for the opportunity to explore it.One of the highlights of our trip has been the discovery of Apache and Papago crafts. We came across beautiful Apache Dolls from San Carlos, as well as an Apache Burden Basket and intricate Papago coiled plaques. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in these pieces are truly remarkable. Baskets play an important role in the lifestyle of the Apache and Papago people, showcasing their rich cultural heritage. As we continue our journey through the United States, we are constantly amazed by the beauty and diversity of this land. From bustling cities to serene natural landscapes, there is so much to see and experience. We are grateful for the opportunity to travel and explore new places, and we look forward to the adventures that lie ahead. Sending you love and warm wishes from our travels.Photo by Paul Markow PhotographyCollection Courtesy of Silver CloudMCGREW COLOR GRAPHICS
