This postcard features the artwork “Departing for the Promenade (Will You Go Out with Me, Fido?)” by Belgian artist Alfred Emile Léopold Stevens. Painted in 1859, the oil on panel artwork measures 24 x 19 inches. It is part of the W. P. Wilstach Collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, acquired in 1990. The artwork depicts a scene of a person and their dog preparing to go for a walk.
