This postcard features a historic view of Market Street in Steubenville, Ohio. The city of Steubenville was established in 1797 and named after Fort Steuben. It became a town in 1805 and a city in 1825. The postcard also showcases The Hub Department Store, which opened in 1904 and was later sold to Good’s Department Store in 1978. Unfortunately, the store closed in 1980 and the building was demolished in 1993.
